At Power Orthodontics, we believe that one of the core qualities separating us from so many other practices in the area is a commitment to quality care that is second to none. We believe that absolutely every person deserves to look in the mirror and see a smile they love. That’s why, in addition to personalized attention to detail that patients simply won’t be able to find anywhere else, we want to bring quality orthodontics to as many people as possible.
What Sets Us Apart
Power Orthodontics was founded all the way back in 1977, and our attention to detail and treatment planning quality has only gotten better over time. We use a specialized x-ray machine called Dental Cone Beam CT so that we can generate three-dimensional 3-D images for all of our patients.
By providing this software, we are able to generate custom treatment plans for everyone that walks through our offices. We understand that every person who walks through our door is totally unique unto themselves – which is why we refuse to try to force them into a “one size fits all” box when it comes to treatment. We take our time to get to know each patient and to understand their specific situation and what they’re trying to accomplish, then we begin coming up with a treatment plan to help them do all of this and more.
Our approach to traditional braces is a perfect example of this, as we put braces on indirectly at first. In the beginning part of the treatment process, we fit braces based on a precise model of a person’s teeth. We use the model to make various adjustments to make them more accurate and to make sure that everything will proceed along exactly as it should. Not only does this lead to higher quality and more efficient treatment, but it also saves you time in the chair! However, to assist all of our patients we also offer Same Day Starts if our schedule accommodates it!
The team at Power Orthodontics wants people to feel comfortable when they come in for a treatment plan – and that is especially true when it comes to children.
Whenever we take on a new patient, for example, we always look at a child’s airways and breathing and include these findings in our custom treatment plan. We do this via a sophisticated 3D recording technology that allows us to design a more comfortable plan moving forward. Absolutely no other orthodontic practice in the area goes into this level of detail, but it’s one technique that we’re not planning on stopping anytime soon.
Seven, eight, and nine-year-old children come in all the time experiencing issues like trouble breathing through the nose, not being able to sleep well, not being able to concentrate in school, and more. This is why we want to do more than just give someone that perfect smile they’ve always wanted for themselves – we want to improve their quality of life as much as possible.
When a situation involving a child’s breathing and airways does come up, one of our orthodontists may recommend early orthodontic treatment and may also make the proper referral to a physician to have a child’s tonsils and adenoids removed if needed. After early treatment or seeing the different physicians that they were referred to, parents often report that their child is like an entirely new kid – one who is able to sleep better, who is more attentive, and who has no trouble breathing.
In these types of situations, these breathing issues would likely not have been found at all had it not been for our custom treatment plan – which is why we’ve always considered it to be a hugely important part of what we do.
This personalized level of care and attention to detail is even evidenced in someone’s first visit with one of our team members at Power & Pryse Orthodontics. This free consultation allows the patient to get to know one of our dental professionals, who will then take detailed photographs of the mouth. Based on that information, the patient will be able to meet with their own treatment coordinator to discuss what options are available to them. Everyone gets full-scan 3D x-rays as a part of this process, all so that treatment can begin without delay.
In the end, we at Power Orthodontics pride ourselves on being the most welcoming practice in the area, all while offering high-quality service and care as well. We want patients to always feel like they are receiving the best care around and that they are as comfortable as possible, and that is one goal that we will never stop working towards no matter what.
