Dr. Shayna Mesko graduated second in her class from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. After receiving her DMD, she was commissioned as a dental officer in the United States Navy. She served for five years, including completing a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. After her military service, she continued practicing general dentistry in private practice in Philadelphia for three years. She then completed her Orthodontic Residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Dr. Mesko believes exceptional orthodontic care combines patient education, collaboration, and evidence-based treatment planning. She emphasizes a balance of esthetics, function, individual biology, and long-term stability while empowering patients to make informed decisions. Her background in restorative and cosmetic dentistry provides a comprehensive perspective, particularly in managing complex and interdisciplinary cases.
When not in practice, Dr. Mesko loves spending every free minute with her husband, Gannon and two young boys, Tolman and Bevier. She loves any creative opportunity to work with her hands whether it is renovating her home, refinishing furniture, or crafts with her kids.
